ABOUT ME

Welcome to my corner of the digital world! My name is Pablo Pueyo Poves, and I am a passionate Game Designer and 3D Environment Artist from Zaragoza, Spain.

 

I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Interactive Design and Game Development from the Savannah College of Art and Design and am currently an Interactive Media Master of Fine Arts (MFA) candidate at the School of Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA, USA.

 

Upon graduating in May 2025, I aspire to pursue my passion for 3D modeling and environment art, both professionally and as a hobby.

 

My Journey

 

My journey into the world of art began at an early age, fueled by a fascination with the power of the imaginary as a means to both escape and better understand the world around us.

 

My international experience started at age thirteen when I enrolled in a boarding school in England for one year. There I learned the benefits of discipline and good manners.

 

At age sixteen, I moved to the United States to study at an international boarding school, where I was introduced to people from all over the world, each with their own cultural baggage. There I learned that, no matter the differences in our cultures and upbringings, in essence we are all the same.

 

While in SCAD, at age nineteen, I studied abroad in SCAD Hong Kong for one quarter. There I learned that the best wonton noodles can come from the most unseemly places.

 

In addition, I have participated in several volunteer projects, including building a house in Nicaragua and a school in Eswatini for people in need.

 

This diverse educational background, as well as years of experience in drawing, painting, sculpture, graphic design, game design, animation, and 3D modeling have turned me into the artist I am today.

 

Over the years, I have honed my skills in various facets of game development, from 3D modeling and environment design to interactive storytelling and immersive experiences. I specialize in environment art, focusing on 3D modeling and world-building, with a particular emphasis on props and architectural assets. I take great pleasure in modeling, texturing, and utilizing lighting in order to create palpable moods.

 

Professional Experience

 

I have had the privilege of working on a variety of exciting projects, collaborating with talented teams to bring unique and engaging worlds to life. Some highlights of my career include:

 

  • Art Producer for “Lake Minnewaska”
    Developed for Lloyd Campbell III’s thesis project at USC, where I led the art direction and production of environmental assets.

 

  • 3D Artist for “Neon City”
    A dynamic and vibrant project by Ingram Mao at USC, where I contributed to the creation of futuristic urban landscapes.

 

  • 3D Artist & Printer at Maquinza, S.A.
    In this role, I designed and 3D printed custom items for marketing events, blending creativity with cutting-edge technology.

 

  • Product Owner for “Silver Fox”
    As product owner, I led and directed a team of seven people in creating a video game as part of our final project at SCAD.

I am also proud to have been a Research Fellow under the USC Annenberg Graduate Fellowship, where I worked closely as an assistant to the Director of the project.

 

My Vision

 

As an artist, I strive to capture the things I love and share them with others. For years, I have been fascinated by the transformation of objects from pencil sketches to finished creations; now, I bring my visions to life in 3D. My vision is to create immersive and captivating experiences that transport players to new worlds and inspire their imaginations. I believe in the power of storytelling through digital art and strive to make a lasting impact in the gaming industry.

 

To me, video games are more than just a form of entertainment, they are a powerful medium for education, emotional impact, and fostering connections. Game designers and their creations have profoundly influenced my life. Now, I am committed to refining my skills and staying at the cutting edge of technology, with the goal of influencing and improving others' lives through my work.
